Discover Boston

I am sitting in a starbucks in the centre of Boston. It is suprisingly peaceful. Maybe because it is Sunday.
What an amazing city! With company or not, the city lies itself to be discovered. I had a wonderful day: started with a stroll up and down the Beacon Hill which is a melancholic neighbourhood for the european tourists that best relate to it. Then joined the sermon at Emmanuel Church. Before I came to the US I could not understand the fascination that the world has with america. It is the attitude that you are on top of the world. It is the feeling you could do anything. This kind of confidence catches quickly. it is however a place of extreme contrasts: extremely liberal and extremely conservative. In the same pot are people that try to cure homosexuality and gay marriages, people that believe men tamed dinosaurs and people that build rackets and send robots to Mars.
This country is both blessed and doomed.
